A one-of-a kind, intensive experience designed to explore the unique and intimate relationship between singers and conductors.
The fifth annual Bassi Brugnatelli International Conducting and Singing Symposium was held 22 June - 1 July 2018 at Palazzo Bassi Brugnatelli in Robbiate, Italy, and we doubled our enrollment, including 35 participants and 18 faculty and instrumentalists. The talent of our participants was as varied as it was exceptional.
Our Sixth symposium will be held in July 2021. The faculty includes: John Ratledge–Founder and Artistic Director from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Rebecca Turner–Artist in Residence, Soprano from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Karen Kanakis, Soprano from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa; Jacob Lassitter, Baritone from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa; Stafford Turner, Bass-Baritone and Director of Opera from Gardner Web University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina; Annalisa Monticelli–Coach/Collaborative Pianist from the from Dkit Dundalk and Italian Diction teacher from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Ireland; Dearbhla Brosnan, Coach/Collaborative Pianist from the Royal Academy of Music in Dublin, Ireland; Dan Perkins, Coach/Collaborative Pianist/Lecturer from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire; Ken Saxon–Coach/Collaborative Pianist from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville, Texas; Jim Phillips–Wellness/Breathing/Posture Coach from New York, New York; and Business Associate–Michelle Montabana from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

From the Opera Arias used in renown movies, to the music of Cole Porter and Gershwin. This successful ensemble has performed on multiple occasions in the National Concert Hall as well as Castletown House.
